“Internal and external factors that stimulate desire and energy in people to be continually interested in and committed to a job, role, or subject, and to exert persistent effort in attaining a goal. Motivation is the energizer of behavior and mother of all action. It results from the interactions among conscious and unconscious factors such as the (1) intensity of desire or need, (2) incentive or reward value of the goal, and (3) expectations of the individual and of his or her significant others.” http://www.businessdictionary.com/definition/motivation.html
Motivation is what you need to stay on your wedding weight loss goals. We are trying to achieve our goals and enjoy the life we have but unfortunately the same life that we want to improve can get in our way of our goals and aspirations. But how do we stay on track and be motivated?
Tips
- Keep motivational notes in areas that you see when you are about to eat something unhealthy. You can take some quotes online or from a book. When ever you are tempted to eat something that you shouldn’t the notes will remind you to stay focus on your goals. And if you have work out goals keep motivational notes in front of the TV or couch.
- Consult in a friend. And I don’t mean just any body. I mean someone who you know will keep you motivated. You should involve one your friends that has accomplished that goal and will talk you out of any thing that might hinder your weight lost goals for your wedding.
- Join a group. A group is an excellent way to maintain your goals. Instead of walking this journey by your self you can meet a group of people that can motivate you and you can motivate them.
- Keep a Journal. I mention this in my article- Wedding Weight Loss Tips but it is so important. People really don’t understand the importance of daily writing. You might have a food slip up that day and push it out of your mine, but when you get home and write down what you’ve done –you can ask your self was it really worth it. The next day you can read what you wrote and how you felt so you won’t’ slip up the next time.
When we were little children our motivation was endless. My 13 year old niece wanted a kitten so bad but her mom was dead set against it. Her mother told her that they didn’t have the money to buy a kitten. My niece pleading and pleading non stop for that kitten but to no avail. But my niece was so determine to get that kitten. My niece was motivated by sheer will. The fact that her mother was so against it did not deter her. She thought about what her mother said about the money issue and thought to her self -how can I get a kitten without any money? She decided to call the shelter, but the shelter wanted money – 65 dollars for a kitten. She told the manager of the shelter her dilemma and how badly she wanted a kitten. The manager said that there was nothing that she could do. For my niece this was the last option. She asked the manager did she need any volunteer help at the shelter. And the manager said that she did. My niece said that if she helped out in the shelter could she get the kitten. The manager thought about it and agreed. My niece helped with feeding the animals and watching over them. My niece enjoyed it so much that she decided that she wants to do it as a career. By sheer motivation and determination my niece got her kitten, which she name nibbles. And experience what it would be like to work with animals.
I write this article to illustrate that any thing is possible if you have the right mind set. Weight lost can be extremely difficult. But weight lost is obtainable. I know the pressure of a wedding can be tremendous, but if you set your weight loss goals and stick to them the awards are amazing.

Running, swimming, jogging, lifting weights. The possibilities are endless when it comes to exercise. Yoga, Swiss ball, kettle bell. There are so many choices – how does one decide what type is right for them? The industry is constantly trying to push new techniques and technologies that promise a whole new you in less and less time. Its hard to know which exercises and equipment work and which don’t. Hopefully this article will help you answer this question and make an informated decision about how exercise will suit you best.
The first thing to take into consideration is your size and range of motion. If you are larger and/or you find your joints are always sore, running probably isn’t the best exercise choice for you. The amount of weight on your already sore knees will be unhealthy. Like wise exercise machines such as treadmills and elliptical are also definitely out of the question. If you are larger or have sore joints you should first do something that will strengthen your joints. Take some joint repair supplements and start a walking routine. Try to walk a comfortable pace, but push yourself as much as you can. Also, start some weight lifting. Start with lighter weights, then increase to a level where you can feel your joints working but not hurting.

For a medium body type more forms of exercise are open to you. Higher impact activities like sports or yoga become a possibility. Of course you are still welcome to walk and lift weights, but for maximum exercise rewards you probably want to do something a little more challenging then walking. As for weight lifting start with greater weight since you don’t have to worry as much about your joints.
If you have thinner body type the world is your oyster, you can do any exercise you want, however you probably want to keep things like weight class in mind if you decide to take up something like judo or wrestling!
I hope this article has given you some ideas and guidance about what exercise will be best for you. In the end, try to find something you enjoy, or learn to enjoy what your doing and you will see far greater benefits because you’ll stick to it!

You would think that you would have plenty of support for this big day but because things can get so wild you might lose your support.
When you are focus on weight loss you need as much help as possible. With the planning of your wedding you need to add some weight loss support to that list.
Family
• Family is extremely vital for your weight loss. During your wedding planning you will have a lot of contact with family and you have to keep in mind that you cannot eat Aunt Mae upside down cake. You do not want to hurt anyone feelings, but it is so important to stay on track. Instead tell Aunt Mae that you could really use her expertise in other areas that would not affect your weight loss goal. You know your family members more than any one, so take that in account when you start your planning. I would suggest a To Do List for each member that will participant in the wedding. Keep away your weight loss goals from family members that would not support you.
Friends
• Friends can help your reach your goal but be careful. Your friends can have the best intention but jealousy and envy can still creep in. Before you know it they are sabotaging your goals without realizing it.
Children
• Children are wonderful motivators. They can play and come up with ideas all day. Children love to be a part of what they see their mom or dad doing, so include them. It is a great way to spend time with your kids and burn away the pounds.
Weight Loss Groups
• Most areas have groups that can give you the support. Meeting with people with the same goals that you have can keep you going. Bringing new people in your life is a great way to start that change in your life as well. There are many websites like More Food for Thought, Inc. that can help with meal planning.
Trainers
• A trainer can really help you with that weight loss if you can afford one. Trainers can guide you to focus on areas that are a problem for you in less time. Some trainers can also help with a good food plan so the possibilities can be endless. They can put you on a schedule which will be crucial for your weight loss and it can help you plan your day better for other wedding activities.
Animals
• Animals can help greatly. They are so full of energy and want to play all day. You can take the dog for a walk more often then you use to. The dog will love the extra attention that you are given them. Cats love to play games in the house, if you have a piece string or a ball a cat will play for hours. That can help you burn some calories and meet you weight loss goals before your wedding day.
The Fitting For Your Wedding Weight Loss
A high-quality fitting is almost as important as choosing the wedding clothes itself. In most cases, you will actually need to have at least two fittings at the seamstress’ shop in order to complete all of the necessary measurements and alterations. It is important to take the time to prepare for your fitting to be sure that your dress will fit your body as perfectly as possible on the big day.
Visualize the suit or dress that you want to fit for that day. Schedule the first fitting as soon as possible. You don’t want to wait until the very last minute to try on your clothes for the wedding. Now it’s the time to do some math. If the wedding is months or a year from now, then you need to decide how much weight you need to lose before the wedding.
If you are the bride or groom arrange for a member of your bridal party, a friend, or a family member to go to each of your fittings. It is usually helpful to have someone else with you to give you feedback about how the clothes look on your body and to reassure you in your decisions regarding the fittings. There are a lot of ways to tackle your weight loss. You can check out my article on weight loss tips.
